This handsome cabinet was manufactured circa 1960's by the company Honderich, as evidenced by the stamp on the back.  It was likely part of a buffet/hutch combination, as the shelves have plate rails running the length.  The sliding glass doors are in excellent condition - there is a small scratch on one piece of glass shown in the pictures - and framed perfectly in wood.  One slide on the bottom sticks until gently lifted with one's finger, other than that they all slide smoothly.  The box of the cabinet is a beautiful veneer which has been sanded to remove and repair some damage at the bottom of both sides.  The piece has been completely waxed with Country Chic's black wax.  A new base and legs was built out of red oak, stained and then treated with black paint and black wax.  The inside back wall of the cabinet has been painted in black.  The whole piece has been top coated in a satin finish. 

This piece is timeless and is a beautiful way to display your favourite things.
